About the Boa Barn

The Boa Barn has been owned and operated by Paul Miles since 1992. I have had a passion for reptiles since I was very young. While exploring the wooded areas in Maryland where I grew up the only animals I managed to collect were reptiles and amphibians. I learned all I could about them and enjoyed keeping them. I was quickly enamored with the more exotic species like the Boas and pythons. Emerald tree boas and green Tree pythons were at the top of the list. When I witnessed my Emerald Tree boa giving birth in 1980 I was hooked. Shortly after the first offspring sired by the Albino boas Pete Kahl and I had purchased, I decided to become a full time herpetoculturist and named my business The Boa Barn. I have raised many different species of reptiles and amphibians but now concentrate primarily on Ball python morphs. The numerous morphs and seemingly endless crosses that can be made keep it interesting. I am truly blessed to be able to pursue my passion as a business.
